In February of 2003, Wolf Point, Montana was designated by legislation as the future home of the Montana Cowboy Hall of Fame.

The main office is located in Wolf Point with the complex to be built on 29 acres adjacent to Highway 2 on land donated by the Wolf Point Chamber of Commerce.

The MCHF is working with the North Dakota Cowboy Hall of Fame and the Montana Pro Rodeo Hall & Wall of Fame to promote western heritage within our region.

Plans & Design

  • Marketing, public relation efforts, statewide meetings and trusteeships being developed.
  • The preliminary engineers report is completed
  • Next 3-year Strategic/Marketing Plan is set for review
  • Studio 360 & Storyline Studio have completed the Preliminary Architect Report and Interior Master Plan
  • Executive Director, Board of Directors and Media Director in place and Finance Director hired with field office located at Copper Spring Ranch in Bozeman
  • Nominations are being sought for the 2010 Inductions for the year 1860 to 1940.  more information...

A Board of Trustees (from 12 Districts), is being developed that will represent Montana in the nomination and induction process.  They will also help the Board of Directors to attract memberships, assist in fundraising efforts and aid in the promotion of the MCHF&WHC. Currently over 129 Trustees have been approved.
