"To provide a unique understanding of the cowboy way of life, Indian culture and roots of our western heritage by teaching others the colorful history that has shaped our state.  We will accomplish this through:

• Honoring Montana's cowboys, cowgirls, settlers, landscape, rodeos, ranches, Indian cultures, industries, communities and wildlife that define Montana with carefully considered annual inductions into the Montana Cowboy Hall of Fame

• Offering a unique understanding of the spirit of the cowboy, Indian culture and the roots of Montana heritage

• Becoming a living history destination attraction with international reputation and respect

• Providing a progressive framework for sustainability through dynamic, creative, on-going marketing efforts targeting visitation, memberships, donations, endowments, and other fund and attendance-raising campaigns

• Creating strong partnerships with public entities to enhance regional, tribal, state and federal support
