Nominations Policy for Induction into the Montana Cowboy Hall of Fame & Western Heritage Center Wolf Point, Montana
“To honor those historical figures that have impacted Montana’s western heritage.”
(Those selected worthy that made their mark in the state of Montana before 1940, no matter the year of death or closure)
From the total nominations submitted in each of the twelve (12) districts, the Trustees will vote for two (2) of the nominations. Two (2) recipients will represent each district.
Criteria for Nominations for Induction:
A) Each nomination must contain a cover letter whichincludes:
The name, address, phone numbers and e-mail address of the person submitting the nomination.
The name of the person, ranch, organization, animal, or group being nominated.
The contact person, next of kin or organization that is the interested party for accepting the Legacy Award.
B) The nomination should include the following:
1. An original document not to exceed two (2) pages in #12 font must be submitted on white paper and should not be folded, stapled, or paper clipped.
The document should pertain to the nominee only (example: No side stories at length about brothers, sisters, friends or other relatives).
Only a computer prepared nomination document along with a CD copy of the document in Microsoft Word format will be accepted.
If you use written or published material to compile a nomination the sources must be listed at the end of the document.
2. A copy ready photograph if available. (Photocopies do not copy, so will not be accepted)
Items one and two above should be placed in a manila folder and mailed or submitted to the appropriate District Trustee Chairman.
